I've
seen attitudes changing overnight. I try not to let all this affect
me. The Media say's I've earned a supernova status in the South with
just four films. What more can I ask for?
The advantage
is that everyone knows you because you're a celebrity's sibling. The only
disadvantage is that the expectations are sky-high. That's a problem.
Also Naghma didi started off as a glamour doll and then moved on to roles
of substance. People might expect too much from me as well. I already
have an image of the girl next door. Audiences in the South know that
they won't just get to see a bimbette when they come to see a film of
mine. But I'm still waiting to prove myself with the Mumbai movies. Don't
mistake this as arrogance, sincerely I feel don't have any competition.
And I will never compare myself with any of the senior stars. I want to
stay in the audience's heart long after I have left the movies.
